At The Joy Spa, we believe in intentional living – experiencing life more than merely living it. To be present and thoughtful towards what matters most, little by little, day by day.  We believe in moving slowly, and purposefully – cultivating inner peace, harmony, and grace.  We believe in manifesting our inner power to retain the strength to choose how to frame our days.

We believe in authentic living and identifying the values that matter most.  Intentional living is about creating a space measured by the balance of what we believe in, what we’re interested in, and what overflows our soul with joy – creating conditions that allow us to be present, to love, to give, and to do what moves the rivers of our mind, so that we slow the threat and effects of burnout.

We believe in the power of ritual, a traditional, habitual method of doing something that anchors us to the present moment.  We believe rituals help us prioritize our self-care needs providing support for body AND soul – that rituals can ease the daily brain battle of mundane tasks and spark our days with joy.  We believe self-care makes for the best kind of ritual – that caring for ourselves everyday with clean, natural products made from earth-friendly ingredients can make all the difference.

We believe in daily affirmations – saying a statement that defines what we want to be (positive self-talk).  We believe every time we affirm; we prime our brain to believe these statements and strengthen our muscles of self-belief.  We believe in intentional journaling to help us get clear and focus our attention on what matters most in our day.  And, we believe in asking one question at the end of the day: “What good have I done today?”

We believe in the power of our breath. The calming messages our mind receives lessen the chaos.  We believe in stillness –  that daily meditation brings perspective, creativity, and spiritual grounding.

At our core, we believe intentional living connects us to the present moment, allowing us to appreciate every experience and honor our days.
